This policy explains what cookies are, which ones sammohaksalon.in uses, and how you can control them. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy.
01What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. They let the site remember things between page loads — that your form was submitted from this browser, for example — and help us understand which pages people find useful. Similar technologies such as pixels and local storage work the same way and are covered by this policy.
02How We Use Cookies
We use cookies to keep the website secure and working correctly, and to measure how it is used so we can improve it. We do not use cookies to collect your name, phone number or any information you have not typed into a form yourself.
03The Cookies We Use
1. Strictly necessary cookies — these keep the site working and cannot be switched off.
SAMMOHAK_SESSID— our session cookie. It links your browser to your form submission and protects our booking, contact and newsletter forms against cross-site request forgery. It expires when you close your browser.
2. Analytics cookies — used only if Google Analytics is enabled on the site.
_ga,_ga_*,_gid— set by Google Analytics to count visits, tell new visitors from returning ones and show which pages are popular. This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally.
3. Marketing cookies — used only if the Meta (Facebook) Pixel is enabled on the site.
_fbp— set by Meta to measure the effect of our ads and to show relevant ads to people who have visited our website.
4. Third-party embeds — the following are loaded by content embedded in our pages:
- Google Maps — our location map sets cookies from Google.
- YouTube — embedded videos set cookies from YouTube/Google when played.
- Google Fonts and CDN assets — fonts, icons and scripts are loaded from Google and jsDelivr, which log the request as part of delivering the file.
Analytics and marketing cookies are set only when the corresponding integration is switched on in our website settings. If it is off, those cookies are simply never created.
04Third-Party Cookies
Cookies set by Google, Meta, YouTube and similar platforms are governed by their own privacy and cookie policies, not ours. We recommend reading their policies if you want to know exactly how they use the data they collect.
05Managing & Deleting Cookies
You are in full control. Every major browser lets you see the cookies stored, delete them, block third-party cookies or block all cookies:
- Chrome — Settings › Privacy and security › Third-party cookies / Delete browsing data
- Safari — Settings › Safari › Block All Cookies / Clear History and Website Data
- Firefox — Settings › Privacy & Security › Cookies and Site Data
- Edge — Settings › Cookies and site permissions › Manage and delete cookies
To opt out of Google Analytics across all websites, you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Ad personalisation can be managed in your Google and Meta account settings.
Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop our booking, contact and newsletter forms from submitting. You can always book by calling +91 9119169110 or messaging us on WhatsApp instead.
06Do Not Track
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is still no common standard for how websites should respond to it, so our website does not currently change its behaviour based on that signal. The browser controls described above remain the reliable way to manage cookies.
07Changes to This Policy
If we add or remove a tool that uses cookies, we will update this page and its effective date. Please check back occasionally.
